About Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway:

Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language family legal drama film directed by Ashima Chibber and produced by Zee Studios and Emmay Entertainment. It stars Rani Mukerji, Anirban Bhattacharya, Neena Gupta and Jim Sarbh. The film is the true story of an Indian couple, an adaptation based on the mother’s - Sagarika Chakraborty’s autobiography titled ‘THE JOURNEY OF A MOTHER’. The film is scheduled to release on 17 March 2023.

Story/Plot of Mrs Chatterjee Vs Norway:

The film depicts the real-life story of NRI Debika Chatterjee (Rani Mukerji), fighting for the custody of her children Suchi and Shubh, after they are placed in foster care by Norwegian Child Welfare Services, on ground of improper treatment of children. Despite being labeled as mentally unstable, she remains determined to fight for her children. Her battle for custody is not limited to Norway alone; she also faces an emotionally taxing journey in India when her children are handed over to their uncle and grandparents.

Movie:

Mrs. Chatterjee Vs Norway is a very unique film, which sets itself apart from the usual Bollywood movies releasing nowadays. The initial part of the film is highly impactful. From the opening sequence until the intermission, the audience will remain captivated. There are sequences that elicit strong emotions and leave a profound impression, especially considering the heart-wrenching premise of children being separated from their parents. A scene set in the courtroom during this section of the movie may even bring tears to your eyes. The second half of the movie also manages to maintain the momentum and ends on a satisfying note. The screenplay is well-crafted, providing a solid foundation for the emotional storyline. The movie boasts some superb dialogues that add to the overall impact of the film. Performance:
