Movie Review: Salaar - Part 1: A must watch rollercoaster of Action and Thrills!

Prashant Neel's much-anticipated film, Salaar - Part 1, landed in theaters worldwide on December 22, promising a wild ride of action and excitement. Let's break down what makes this movie worth checking out.
The story kicks off in a coal-mining village where we meet Deva (played by Prabhas), living with his mom. Things take a turn when a girl named Aadhya (Shruti Haasan) seeks Deva's help, claiming she's in danger. Meanwhile, in the city of Khansar, there's chaos with fights and foreign armies. Vardha (Prithviraj Sukumaran), the son of Raja Mannar (Jagapathi Babu), asks Deva for help. The big question is, will Deva take on this risky mission, and what unfolds in the city's turmoil?

Prashant Neel's direction stands out in Salaar - Part 1, showing his skill in telling a good story with interesting characters, especially in the action scenes.

The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat with suspense in every scene. Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran bring the action sequences to life. Picture this: high-tech weapons, machine guns, missiles, and even traditional weapons like swords. Prabhas adds a cool touch by lighting a cigarette and wearing glasses in the middle of the chaos.

The first half of the movie takes its time, but the second half is where the real action kicks in, leaving you stunned. The unexpected twists in the story keep you hooked.

The dialogues are impactful, and the voices match the characters well. Prabhas and Prithviraj deliver fantastic performances, and Shriya Reddy is impressive too. Even though Shruti Haasan has more screen time in the first half, she does a decent job.

Salaar's technical side is top-notch. The camera work makes it feel like you're watching a Hollywood movie, and the background music adds to the excitement.

For those who love action films, especially if you enjoyed KGF and Prabhas' previous movies, Salaar is a must-watch. But if you're not a fan of intense action, you might want to skip it.

Our rating? A solid 4.5 out of 5. Salaar - Part 1 promises a thrilling experience for fans of heart-pounding action and great storytelling.

Ratings:2.5/5 Review By:Rajeev Masand Site:CNN News18 Despite its shortcomings, the film is never unwatchable and benefits enormously from a winning performance by Irrfan Khan who makes his every moment on screen count. From his hilarious wooing of a mother-daughter pair of potential customers at his shop in the film's first half to his earnest amends on discovering his conscience late into the final act, he has you eating out of his palm. World’s Worst Chors Present World’s Worst Item Song!

Last week, the world got introduced to Champak, Genda and Gulab, the stupidest Bank Chors ever. First, their antics made everyone laugh out loud in the Bank Chor trailer, that trended #1 on YouTube for three days, and has cumulatively crossed 10 million across the Y-Films social media platforms within a week. Then, the film’s Imaandaar trailer managed to rake up a social media storm as the three chors gave a hilarious dose of imaandaari that Bollywood’s never seen before. And now, in the title song of Bank Chor, innovatively titled ‘Hum Hain Bank Chor’, the worst chors ever come together for what is certainly the worst Bollywood item song ever! They dance, gyrate and shake their booties in an attempt to lure the audience into watching the film, falsely proclaiming that they are awesome chors. But the truth about their stupidity is fairly visible all through the song. Written, composed and sung by Kailash Kher, instead of featuring an A-list Bollywood superstar in the video, ...
