Movie Review Fighter: A Sky Full of Emotions: Combines Thrills with Patriotism

Fighter (2024) takes audiences on a thrilling ride through the skies and hearts of Indian Air Force pilots. Directed by Siddharth Anand and backed by Viacom18 Studios and Marflix Pictures, this action-packed film marks the first entry in a planned aerial action franchise. Starring Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor, Fighter promises high-octane action, emotional depth, and a powerful dose of patriotism.
Movie Review Fighter: A Sky Full of Emotions: Combines Thrills with Patriotism
Story:

The narrative revolves around a devastating terrorist attack on India. In response, a crack team of IAF pilots, led by the skilled and determined Karan Singh Dagar (Hrithik Roshan), embarks on a daring mission to seek revenge and defend their nation's honor. Deepika Padukone portrays Squadron Leader Shikha Sharma, Dagar's co-pilot and confidante, while Anil Kapoor lends his gravitas as a veteran Air Force officer guiding the mission. Clocking in at 2 hours and 45 minutes, Fighter keeps the adrenaline pumping throughout, culminating in a nail-biting climax.

Direction:

Siddharth Anand, in his eighth directorial venture, delivers a visually stunning spectacle. The film boasts breathtaking shots of fighter jets soaring through picturesque landscapes, coupled with expertly choreographed aerial combat sequences. The special effects deserve special mention, particularly the scene where Dagar maneuvers his plane upside down near the runway, leaving audiences awestruck. The Kashmir Valley sequence, featuring Hrithik Roshan raising the tricolor amidst the majestic mountains, is another visual treat.

Script:

Anand's meticulous research shines through in the film's well-crafted story, script, and dialogues. The narrative, while driven by action, seamlessly integrates moments of emotional connection and patriotic fervor. The dialogues are punchy and impactful, further elevating the film's overall impact.

Performances:

The cast delivers stellar performances, breathing life into their respective characters. Hrithik Roshan embodies the intensity and dedication of a fighter pilot with remarkable conviction. Deepika Padukone holds her own as the skilled and determined Shikha, showcasing a strong on-screen chemistry with Roshan. The supporting cast, including Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Talat Aziz, and Rishabh Sahni, also contribute significantly to the film's success.

Music & Songs:

While the film's soundtrack boasts interesting and catchy tunes, the popular song "Ishq Jaisa Kutch" is curiously absent from the final cut. However, Sanchit and Ankit Balhara's background score effectively complements the action and emotional undertones of the film. The song "Mitti" stands out as a particularly impactful addition.

Conclusion:

Fighter is a cinematic triumph that caters to diverse audiences. For fans of action-packed thrillers, the film delivers heart-pounding aerial sequences and edge-of-your-seat suspense. For those seeking emotional depth, the characters' journeys and the film's patriotic themes resonate strongly. Ultimately, Fighter soars high as a visually stunning, emotionally charged, and thoroughly entertaining experience. Highly recommended, especially in 3D for an amplified viewing experience.

World’s Worst Chors Present World’s Worst Item Song!

Last week, the world got introduced to Champak, Genda and Gulab, the stupidest Bank Chors ever. First, their antics made everyone laugh out loud in the Bank Chor trailer, that trended #1 on YouTube for three days, and has cumulatively crossed 10 million across the Y-Films social media platforms within a week. Then, the film’s Imaandaar trailer managed to rake up a social media storm as the three chors gave a hilarious dose of imaandaari that Bollywood’s never seen before. And now, in the title song of Bank Chor, innovatively titled ‘Hum Hain Bank Chor’, the worst chors ever come together for what is certainly the worst Bollywood item song ever! They dance, gyrate and shake their booties in an attempt to lure the audience into watching the film, falsely proclaiming that they are awesome chors. But the truth about their stupidity is fairly visible all through the song. Written, composed and sung by Kailash Kher, instead of featuring an A-list Bollywood superstar in the video, ...
